MY STORY
My love for pixel art led me to discover cross-stitch hand embroidery – essentially, pixel art you can touch. After stitching others’ designs for years, the desire to create my own patterns sparked the need to learn how to draw. I started with sketches on paper, then switched to drawing with Procreate, and the rest is history! Using a warm-up activity that I learned from artist Claudia Riveros, where you paint random splotches and then draw what you “see,” improved my art. Flo’s tutorials added detail to my drawings, and I just recently hand-embroidered my very own pattern for the first time! This was a big deal for me
This free Art with Flo YouTube tutorial was a big deal for me. I was anxious about trying new digital painting techniques, but with Flo’s guidance, it turned out to be really fun! The end result was a piece I actually liked. Now, I’m feeling more confident and excited to try some trickier tutorials.
