Underwater Scene

In this easy Procreate tutorials I’ll be guiding you through the steps of creating this bright and colorful underwater scene. We’ll start off by drawing a fish, then we’ll create a variety of underwater plants, next we’ll duplicate the plants to save ourselves some time and effort creating our scene. We’ll finish the project up by adding lighting effects, more fish and a bunch of bubbles.

Apple – The Flo Method

Heya Flocreators! Let me introduce the Flo Method! An easy way to remember the steps you can follow to draw any subject. I’ll explain the method while we draw this simple and stylized apple in Procreate. So you won’t just learn a fun drawing method, but you’ll also learn about the features in Procreate. It’s a win-win!

  • Observation: Fundamental in drawing, observing the form and lighting of your subject is crucial
  • Sketching: The initial step in the drawing process involves using the 6B Pencil to explore and establish the basic shapes of your subject, which, in this case, is an apple
  • Line Art Creation: After sketching, we proceed to refine our drawing with crisp lines using the Monoline Brush, a step that’s especially useful for stylized illustrations
  • Color Blocking: The tutorial highlights the importance of laying down base colors for different parts of the drawing without worrying about details, using layers beneath the line art for organization
  • Lighting and Shading: Introducing soft global light and form shadows enriches the drawing, providing depth and dimension
